    Last updated: 4 July 2026

WanderWallet is owned and operated by Designed For Results Pty Ltd (ABN 99 682 428 904) ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information in connection with the WanderWallet mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

    1. What Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register for the Service, subscribe to a plan, or contact us. The personal information we may collect includes:

    • Identity and contact data: first name, last name, email address, and telephone number.
    • Account credentials: username and password (stored in encrypted form).
    • Usage data: information about how you use the Service, including log data, device identifiers, IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent.
    • Location data: approximate location if you enable location services to log trip stops or journal entries.
    • User-generated content: expense records, journal entries, photos, notes, and other data you choose to save within the application. This content is entered entirely by you and is not verified, validated, or used for any financial advice or reporting purpose.

Important note on financial data: WanderWallet is a personal budgeting and expense-tracking tool. Any figures you enter — including amounts, budgets, and currency values — are user-generated data that you provide. We do not connect to your bank accounts, financial institutions, or payment systems, and we do not collect, store, or process actual financial account information. The app performs calculations based solely on what you enter.

We only collect sensitive information (within the meaning of the APPs) with your consent or as otherwise required or permitted by law.

    2. How We Collect Personal Information

    • contact us by email, phone, or our contact form; or
    • respond to surveys or provide feedback.

We may also collect information automatically via cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies when you interact with our website or application. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function as intended.

    3. Why We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

We collect and use your personal information only for purposes that are reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, our functions or activities, including to:

We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. In some circumstances we may refuse access or correction and, if so, will provide reasons.

    9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and understand how visitors interact with our website. We may also use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Umami) which set their own cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function as intended.
